BPESA is the recognised Industry Body and Trade Association for the Global Business Services (GBS) Sector in South Africa. As a not for pro?t entity, BPESA was established to promote trade and serve the interests of its many stakeholder groups engaged in the development, growth and sustaining of this vibrant sector that cuts across many industry verticals of the economy. BPESA’s services are targeted at international captive and outsourcing operators; domestic captive and outsourcing operators; vendors supplying enabling capabilities and services to the sector; and the international clients whose customers are serviced from South Africa. BPESA delivers its services in partnership with Government, at all levels, and various not for pro?t organisations including social enterprises and the professional bodies that support contact centre services, ?nance and accounting services, legal services, IT services, HR services and knowledge services. GLOBAL IMPACT SOURCING COALITION
As a founding associate member of the Global Impact Sourcing Coalition (GISC), IAOP seeks to build more inclusive and productive supply chains through advancing Impact Sourcing. By increasing awareness and uptake of Impact Sourcing, the GISC aims to provide people from disadvantaged and vulnerable communities with access to foundational job opportunities and career development, ultimately contributing to improved social and economic well-being of families, communities and nations.
GLOBAL Mentorship Initiative
The Global Mentorship Initiative (GMI) is a non-profit organization created to help youth around the world realize their full potential as they prepare for a lifelong career. Our mentoring programs help build young professional’s confidence and abilities by providing them with international mentors who provide guidance and support as they prepare to enter the professional world. GMI specifically matches students in high unemployment geographies with business professionals who work in their field of study to provide guidance, business skills, and job opportunities when they graduate.

The Rockefeller Foundation’s mission to promote the well-being of people throughout the world has remained unchanged since its founding in 1913. Today, that mission is applied to an era of rapid globalization. Our vision is that this century will be one in which globalization’s benefits are more widely shared and its challenges are more easily weathered. To realize this vision, the Foundation seeks to achieve two fundamental goals in our work. First, we seek to build resilience that enhances individual, community and institutional capacity to survive, adapt, and grow in the face of acute crises and chronic stresses. Second, we seek to promote growth with equity in which the poor and vulnerable have more access to opportunities that improve their lives.
In order to achieve these goals, the Foundation constructs its work into time-bound initiatives that have defined objectives and strategies for impact. These initiatives address challenges that lie either within or at the intersections of five issue areas: basic survival safeguards, global health, environment and climate change, urbanization, and social and economic security.
The Rockefeller Foundation is supporting work to catalyze the field of Impact Sourcing. Impact Sourcing (IS) employs poor and vulnerable people with limited opportunity for sustainable employment as principal workers in business and IT outsourcing centers to provide high-quality, information-based services to domestic and international clients. The Foundation supports training for Impact Sourcing workers, Impact Sourcing business models and the enabling environment for Impact Sourcing to scale. They are also building a coalition of key stakeholders to push the field forward. IAOP and the Foundation collaborate around various initiatives in Impact Sourcing
