IAOP and CISQ Announce Strategic Partnership

Windermere, FL, March 1, 2018 – Today, IAOP® and Consortium for IT Software Quality™ (CISQ™) announce their partnership to provide standards, education and thought leadership to the Information Technology (IT) outsourcing industry.

The missions of both organizations are complementary and intersecting: IAOP is the largest active global community of outsourcing professionals worldwide who consult IAOP for strategic guidance on the outsourcing industry; CISQ is an IT leadership group that develops international standards for automating the measurement of software size, structural quality, and related measures from source code. Standards from CISQ are starting to be leveraged in outsourcing agreements as the equivalent of software quality requirements to manage the delivery of secure, reliable and resilient software.

Prior to leading CISQ, Dr. Curtis led the development of the Capability Maturity Model at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, a CISQ co-founder. “We look forward to partnering with IAOP to advise the outsourcing industry on best practices for measuring quality code and architecture.”

The Consortium for IT Software Quality™ (CISQ™) is an IT leadership group that develops standards for automating the measurement of software size, structural quality, and related measures from static analysis of source code. Standards developed by CISQ are “acquisition-ready” to help the IT industry measure and manage the quality of software products developed internally or by third parties.
