RECERTIFICATION

COP and aCOP Recertification Requirements 

Both COP and aCOP designation holders are required to recertify every 5 years with a cumulative total of 100 CEH's upon submission. 

EDUCATION CREDITS MAY BE EARNED BY:

• Attending or instructing at IAOP approved workshops, events, training sessions and conferences, including conferences presented by IAOP, including OWS

• Postgraduate university/college courses

• Courses or programs offered by employer or company-sponsored programs

• Courses or programs offered by training companies or consultants

• Courses or programs offered by distance learning companies

• Courses or programs offered in the Outsourcing Professional Course Catalog

• Attending the COP Master Class

• Attending and/or speaking at IAOP Chapter meetings with an educational component

Attendees will earn 1 education credit per hour. Instructors and speakers will earn 2 education credits per hour.  Educational credits must be at the level of industry professional learning and postgraduate study.

INDUSTRY CREDITS MAY BE EARNED BY:
 

• Serving on an IAOP committee will  earn 10 credit hours per calendar year.

• Reviewing COP Applications for perspective applicants (2 credit hours per application)

• Participating in the COP Mentor Program

• Writing substantive articles or papers on the topic of outsourcing that appear in either industry magazines with an editorial board or in conference proceedings. One credit hour is awarded for each article

• Speaking at the COP Master Class

• Submitting articles and white papers for publication in the COP section of IAOP’s Knowledge Center, Firmbuilder.com
