IS20: ADVANCING IMPACT SOURCING & SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE OUTSOURCING (SRO)

Impact Sourcing and SRO are helping companies achieve their goals by creating economic inclusion and social impact through integrating poor and vulnerable populations into the workforce across global supply chains.

Meeting the Moment

Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had an obvious and profound impact on our industry.  Supply continuity, consumer demands, and logistical challenges of lockdowns and movement restrictions all contribute to the disruption. Covid-19 has created a great need to engage in sustainable and responsible practices.

Thank you to all who joined us December 8-11, 2020 for a virtual forum dedicated to advancing Impact Sourcing and SRO.

True corporate social responsibility (CSR) does far more than hold companies socially accountable or help their employees grow. Rather, its full potential is realized when entire communities reap the benefits of a corporation’s efforts. From prosperity hubs with the potential to revitalize entire cities, to tech and language academies that promote equity and hireability for all, CSR begins by knowing a company doesn’t just reside in a community — it’s a part of it. This session features panelists with on-the-ground CSR experience, sharing how impact sourcing reaches far outside company walls.

CHANGING LIVES THROUGH VETERAN EMPLOYMENT

Nick Cox, Senior Technical Recruiter / Military Program Manager, Datrose

Hiring our nation’s military Veterans is a hot topic and for good reason.  Historically Veterans have faced high unemployment and underemployment in the US workforce.  However, Veterans have an abundance of relevant training, education,  ingrained loyalty and dedication to the mission.  Whether serving our country or your corporation, Veterans come with a host of hard and soft skills including leadership and teamwork as well as training and education in various roles such as program management, IT, cyber security, human resources, logistics, etc.  The question employers face is how to map the skills honed in the military to corporate needs and how do employers locate these talented military veterans?  You will hear success stories of the Salute and Recruit program and how Datrose is changing the lives of our nation’s Veterans, the impact of the program and how you can leverage the success in your own organization.   Please join us to learn about Changing Lives through Veteran Employment.

Day Three - December 10th

DELIVERING BUSINESS VALUE WITH SUSTAINABLE IMPACT

Five Splash was born with the purpose of making youth in and around tier-2/tier-3 cities and nearby rural areas a star, by working to create job opportunities. With sustainable options and long-term job opportunities, it is a win-win for people as well as businesses.

In working with its clients as partners, rather than vendors or providers,  FiveS has been able to provide superior business value while ensuring visible impact on the ground. FiveS, for example, quickly became a strategic partner of one of its European counterparts, growing from being a pure BCP site, into a preferred partner status. By staying focused on business goals, process excellence increased.
